Hi, I’m Jodie

I’m a mum of three, a real family person and someone who has always loved photographs. As I’ve got older, I think I’ve realised even more just how important they are. Life changes so quickly, children grow up, and the people we love won’t always be around forever. Photographs have a way of taking you straight back to a person, a stage or a moment you’d almost forgotten.

It’s probably why I’m the person who wants to photograph everything. I don’t just want the big occasions, it’s the little details, expressions and different stages that I know I’ll want to remember one day. That feeling has become a huge part of the way I photograph other families too.

My journey into photography really began when my daughter started modelling. I spent a lot of time taking her to shoots and watching photographers work with children, and it made me realise how important the connection behind the camera is. I’ve always loved being around children and naturally connect with them, so creating an environment where they can relax, have fun and actually be themselves became really important to me.

That same approach runs through everything I photograph today, whether I’m welcoming a new baby into my Bromley studio, capturing all those little stages as children grow, or updating a child’s modelling or acting portfolio. I want sessions to feel relaxed and enjoyable, and the photographs to feel natural, classic and timeless… images that genuinely feel like the people in them.
